Hybrid Event:  2024 Biorisk Management Global Trainers’ Forum

Introduction

On behalf of the United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Biological Threat Reduction Program (DTRA/BTRP), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) is organizing three, 1.5 hour virtual sessions to engage global biorisk management trainers’ in mentorship while exploring what is new and upcoming in the Global Biorisk Management Curriculum library (GBRMC) and to collaborate and network with other colleagues in an opportunity to provide feedback on existing SNL GBRMC biorisk management courses.

At the end of the virtual sessions, SNL will coordinate an in-person event to share results.  The in-person event is pending confirmation of dates and location in conjunction with the 2024 ABSA International Conference to be held in Phoenix, Arizona 1-6 November 2024.

Overview:

This forum is intended to bring together experienced Biorisk Management trainers to investigate the impact of the GBRMC library and explore ways it can be improved.  This workshop will provide a unique opportunity for networking and professional development opportunities for BRM trainers from a variety of backgrounds.  This will be a very interactive workshop with participants sharing their training experiences from around the world.  Trainers will learn what is new in the GBRMC Library and have an opportunity to provide feedback on existing courses and offer suggestions for new courses.

Audience:  These sessions are intended for up to 20 participants who are current biorisk management trainers. Proficiency in English language without available interpretation and ability to obtain a US Visa.

Registration: Registration for these sessions is through this site only.  Registration closes 10 February 2024.
