Chemical Security Risk Assessment for Libyan Academia

Overview

Sandia National Laboratories, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Chemical Security Program (CSP), will host a six-part, hybrid remote eLearning and live webinar workshop. The goal of this workshop is to develop skills in performing a chemical security risk assessment for academic laboratories. This workshop will be comprised of live webinars and weekly eLearning module assignments on SNL’s Center for Global Security and Cooperation (CGSC) learning portal. In addition to Q&A sessions during the webinars, facilitators will provide assistance related to the CGSC learning portal assignments. Please note, the workshop materials will be provided in both English and Arabic. Webinar presentations will be given in English with simultaneous translation available.

Intended Audience:

This course is designed for alumni CSP participants with knowledge and understanding on key concepts of chemical security best practices. Participants should be from academia (laboratory managers, professors, technicians) institutions.

Participant Registration:

Participants must submit their registration by going to the SNL registration link (https://gcbs-events.sandia.gov/chemical-security-program/ADDLINK) no later than 25 May 2022. Only confirmed participants will receive the course information by 1 July 2022.
