Chemical Security Risk Assessment Training Academic Institutions in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Overview

Sandia National Laboratories, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Chemical Security Program (CSP), implement a four-day engagement to develop skills in performing a chemical security risk assessment for academic universities in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

This four-day, in-country workshop will include hands-on activities that will bolster participant capabilities to perform a risk assessment at their institutions. The in-country engagement will allow participants to gain practical experience performing a risk assessment at a facility that is similar in size, scope, and environment to their own. At the conclusion of this engagement participants will have advanced knowledge and confidence that will enable them to perform a risk assessment at their institution.

Agenda

Each day will commence at 0830.  Attendance to all 4 days is required in order to receive a certificate.  A detailed agenda will be sent to participants prior to the workshop. Refreshment breaks and lunch will be provided for all participants.
