Overview

Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) on behalf of the United States Department of State, Chemical Security Program (CSP) Program, will convene a three-day in-person workshop on chemical security risk assessment for academia. Participants will gain practical experience in performing a security risk assessment at a chemical facility. This three-day workshop will include presentations, case studies, and hands-on activities on topics such material control and accountability, physical security, information security, and personnel reliability. The goal of the workshop is to provide participants with a methodology for assessing security risks posed by chemicals and demonstrating use of the methodology through a simulated chemical security risk assessment. Participants will be asked to reflect on how they will incorporate lessons from the workshop at their facility.

Participants must register by clicking registration above. Once registration has been approved, participants will receive a Letter of Invitation.

Intended Audience

This workshop is designed for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, junior faculty, laboratory technicians, coordinators, and managers whose day-to-day responsibilities involve handling and management of chemicals.
